Things you should know

Field Centre Staff - All Staff have enhanced DBS checks.

Access to Field Centre - Because of its commitments to educational groups, the Field Centre is not open to the general public. Please contact the Centre and book if you wish to visit.

Disabled - The Field Centre has wheelchair friendly access and disabled toilet facilities.

Opening times - The Field Centre opens at 9.30am for booked in groups. The finishing time will be arranged at the time of booking.

Charging - £2 for each Primary/ Secondary School pupil per full day or half day visit. £3 for each A  Level/ University student per full day or half day visit. £1 per pupil for joint visits (½ day with TFC and ½ day Power Station Tour) Accompanying adults are free of charge. We have a minimum charge of £30 per day. Schools will be invoiced after the visit.

Risk Assessments - All our study options are risk assessed and copies are sent on booking.

National Curriculum - Our study options are all linked to the National Curriculum.

Toilets - Accessible toilets are available at Teesmouth Field Centre.

Lunch Time - Packed lunches can be eaten either inside or outside the Field Centre depending upon the weather.  All members of your party will need to bring a packed lunch and drink with them.

Rubbish - All lunch time rubbish must be taken back to school with you. The Field Centre does not have the facilities to remove large amounts of waste. Please bring a black rubbish sack.

Coaches - Visiting groups need to book a coach to stay with them all day.  We use the coach to take us to the beach and other field work locations.

Spending money - No spending money required, no shop.
